I have recently been to two very good photography exhibitions at the National Theatre; The first was British Landscapes, which were all beautiful, it’s easy to forget what a range of different landscapes we have in the UK.

The second was titled ‘Angel headed Hipsters’ The title comes from Allen Ginsberg’s poem ‘Howl’ and the photographs were of  his group of friends, the Beat writers of the 50’s and 60’s. These included Jack Kerouac, who wrote ‘On the Road’..one of my favourite books and well worth reading, and William Burroughs, Kenneth Rexroth Gary Snyder and Bob Dylan to mention a few.
